Do you know of a good egg substitute for cooking and baking? My 10 month old very likely has an egg allergy..Now she is not allowed to have eggs..Im looking for some ideas
Actually my mom used to make the peanut butter rice crispy treats all the time when I was a kid. I think she melted chocolate on the top too. OOh so good. I have seen recipes using Cherrios but have never tried them myself. My mom tends to use cerels that she doesn't feel like eating for breakfast in all kinds of dessert bars. They are fabulous and a great way to use up cerel your kind of tired of.
I love the challenge in creating something delicious that is also healthy. It's even more fun when I trick people into thinking that what I made is fattening and unhealthy, because it tastes too good to be "good for you".

Actually, there chocolate chips but I'll try the beef next time. Maybe I'll call them "mad cow" crispies!
Kim,I did a quick search online and found this for you:
Ener-G Egg Replacer - follow directions on box.
2 tbsp corn starch = 1 egg
2 tbsp arrowroot flour = 1 egg
2 tbsp potato starch = 1 egg
1 heaping tbsp soy powder + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg
1 tbsp soy milk powder + 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water = 1 egg.
1 banana = 1 egg in cakes.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Ann.. Im going to try it.
